Bracing wire or metal chain hangs from a bare metal roof deck sized per plan. A three by four inch by twelve gauge minimum bent steel plate is bent to align with the wire and secured to the metal deck rib with two number ten sheet metal screws. The bracing wire is looped through a hole in the steel strap with a minimum of four tight turns in one and a half inches, or a metal chain is attached to the steel strap with an oval threaded connector featuring a standard opening.
