This assembly utilizes a two-inch by two-inch, forty-three mil thick cold-formed steel clip angle. The clip length is specified as one-half inch less than the stud width. Each leg of the angle is fastened with three number ten sheet metal screws. The screw pattern is spaced with one-inch edge distances and one-half inch spacing between fasteners, with equal spacing provided between the three screws.
