A concrete slab on grade transitions to a lower slab via a vertical concrete wall supported by a continuous footing. The upper slab ties into the wall with continuous number four reinforcing bars. Vertical wall reinforcement consists of number four bars spaced at twenty-four inches on center with standard hooks. The wall must remain shored until the upper slab achieves full cure. Foundation reinforcement and footing sizes are sized per structural schedule and plan.
