A steel roof deck bears on a continuous light-gauge track with a matching gauge, secured with three number ten screws at each deck flute. A sixteenth-inch thick by four-inch wide by one-foot eight-inch steel span plate bridges across three deck flutes at each stud location. Three number ten screws fasten each plate, and one number ten screw connects each side of each stud to the assembly for a total of six number ten screws per stud.
