Cross-laminated timber roof panels bear on a supporting steel beam sized per plan and detailed with a top-of-steel elevation marker. A 16-inch by 3/4-inch steel plate and a 1/2-inch plate secure the mass-timber assembly, fastened with 1/2-inch diameter by 5-inch lag screws spaced at 12 inches on center and continuous at ends. Fillet welds of 1/4-inch size connect the steel plate elements with intermittent 3-12 weld spacing.
