A structural brace consisting of an L 3x3x5/16 angle connects to a supporting steel beam web via a three-eighths-inch plate with erection bolts. The gusset plate is attached to the beam web with a quarter-inch fillet weld and to the beam flange with a three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld. An optional five-eighths-inch diameter A325 bolt can be used in place of the weld per the project notes.
