Buckling restrained braces frame into gusset plates welded to a structural steel column flange at the floor level. The beam and column assembly includes welded connections with adjacent metal deck floor slabs. A one-half-inch foam bond breaker is required around the end of the braces if they extend dimensionally into the slab.
