A through-rod anchorage assembly connects an existing unreinforced masonry wall to internal steel framing using a three-quarter-inch threaded rod. A six-by-six-by-three-eighths-inch bearing plate is secured at the exterior wall face with a slip-on lock nut and a two-by-two-by-three-sixteenths-inch slotted plate washer. The threaded rod extends through a drilled hole in the existing steel channel, utilizing a coupler where extensions are required. A joist with a top flange hanger connects to the framing per plan, spaced one foot six inches to two feet zero inches on center.
