Cold-formed steel studs receive bridging connected with double flat strap splices or bridging channel splices. S162-43 blocking is installed at the splice location and fastened with four number 10 screws minimum on each side into the blocking at equal spaces. A minimum of one number 10 screw secures each strap to the stud. Bridging and blocking attach to the steel studs per sheet 16/S6.601.
