A stepped concrete foundation wall and footing assembly with continuous reinforcement sized per plan and schedule. The continuous footing supports a concrete foundation wall with vertical and horizontal reinforcing dowels extending upward into the wall above. Z-bars match the continuous top footing reinforcement where they occur at the step. The step height is limited to a maximum of three feet four inches unless noted otherwise, and the lap length is maintained at a minimum of twice the step height.
