A structural steel plate measuring 1/2 inch by 7-1/2 inches by 1'-0" is anchored to a concrete masonry unit wall using two 1/2-inch-diameter threaded rods set with Hilti HY 270 epoxy, embedded 4-1/2 inches deep. Two 3/4-inch-diameter through bolts secure the connecting structural member through plates measuring 5 inches by 8 inches by 1/3 inch typically. Fillet welds of 1/4-inch size join the assembly components as indicated by standard welding symbols.
