This connection joins a channel beam to the web of a wide flange beam using two L6x4x3/8 inch structural steel angles. The angles are bolted to the channel beam web with a 3-inch vertical bolt spacing and a 1-3/4 inch horizontal gauge. The angles are welded to the wide flange beam web with 5/16-inch fillet welds. The channel beam is positioned with a 1/2-inch clearance from the wide flange beam web, and the assembly maintains a 1-1/4 inch typical clearance from the wide flange beam flanges.
