A continuous 7x4x3/8 inch bent plate connects to an existing 10-inch concrete masonry unit wall using half-inch diameter Hilti HIT-HY 70 adhesive anchors spaced at four feet on center. Anchors require four and a half inches of effective embedment at solid grouted masonry and two inches with a short screen tube at hollow masonry. The metal deck bears on the bent plate and connects with vertical short slotted holes, finger-tight nuts, and staked threads to accommodate differential movement. Deck welding follows sheet reference 1/S5.31.
