A CoreBrace buckling-restrained brace connects to a gusset plate slotted to receive the brace tongue, welded with five-sixteenths fillet welds. The gusset plate is attached to a structural steel beam sized per plan and features a one-half-inch stiffener plate on near side and far side of the gusset. Concrete over steel deck abuts the gusset connection at the floor level. Gusset and attachment design is provided by CoreBrace.
