A steel joist girder bearing connection at a concrete tilt-up panel junction incorporates an embedded steel plate measuring 1/2 inch by 36 inches by 14 inches and secured by ten 3/4-inch diameter by 5-inch Heavy Stud Anchors. Three number 4 weldable rebar ties are welded to the embed plate for concrete anchorage. A structural steel girder with a 3/8-inch by 6-inch steel plate connects to the panel assembly using one 3/4-inch diameter ASTM A325 bolt placed in a long slotted hole parallel to the tilt-up panel. Steel joists bear on an L6x6x3/8 angle measuring 8 inches long with two 1/2-inch stiffener plates. Two 1/2-inch diameter ASTM A325 erection bolts are provided at all joists spanning 40 feet or more, and a bottom chord brace is supplied by the joist or girder supplier at the mid-span. Steel deck spans across the top chords with typical fillet welds as specified.
