Concrete slab-on-grade construction joints feature diamond dowels spaced at twenty-four inches on center with the slab edges rounded to a one-eighth-inch radius on each side of the joint. Control joints consist of a saw cut depth equal to zero point two five times the slab thickness, spaced per plan within the first twelve hours of the concrete pour. Both joint types are detailed within a standard slab-on-grade cast over compacted subgrade.
