Cold-formed steel header and sill tracks connect to jamb studs using 1-1/2 inch by 1-1/2 inch by 54-mil clip angles fastened with three number 8 screws on each leg. The header track and sill track are sized per schedule for openings up to 4 feet wide maximum. Jamb studs receive fastening specific to the wall finish, utilizing low-velocity fasteners spaced at 4 inches on center for gypsum wall board walls or threaded concrete anchors with specified embedment depths for tile walls.
