An angle clip and a three-eighths-inch plate connect intersecting hollow structural section members of the same depth. An angle size of L6x4x3/8 by zero-feet-six-inches is used when dimension D is between four and six inches, and an L6x6x3/8 by zero-feet-six-inches angle is used when dimension D is six inches or greater. Fillet welds of one-quarter-inch size secure the connection between the angle, plate, and structural members. A two-inch clearance is maintained between the framing members as indicated.
