A davit socket pedestal centers on a column cap plate with a thickness of 7/8 inches minimum unless otherwise noted. Beams frame into the column flanges via shear tabs, and 1/2 inch by 10 inch stiffener plates weld to each side of the column web, omitted where shear tabs occur. A 1/2 inch fillet weld secures the pedestal assembly.
