Metal deck bears across hollow structural section framing members sized per the framing plan. A closure plate is welded to the underside of the hollow structural section with three-sixteenths inch fillet welds. A one-quarter inch thick plate is positioned all around with field welds indicated. The hollow structural section post is supported on a column and footing assembly.
