A maximum ten-inch diameter pipe sleeve is located within the middle third of the concrete beam depth. Two additional stirrups are placed on each side of the sleeve, matching the size and spacing of the grade beam reinforcement. Longitudinal reinforcement bars run continuously through the section without interruption. The beam size and schedule are referenced on the structural plans.
