A structural steel beam supports concrete over a metal floor deck on one side and a metal roof deck bearing on a continuous angle on the other. The metal roof deck rests on a continuous L5x3x1/4 angle welded with a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld at twelve inches on center. The concrete fill incorporates one-half inch diameter deck-beam anchors spaced at eighteen inches on center. A vertical leg separates the floor and roof deck elevations within an eight-inch maximum offset from the beam centerline. Field welds secure the transition assembly with quarter-inch welds at twelve inches on center.
