A 1-1/2 inch hollow structural section post connects to a 1/2 inch by 6 inch by 1 foot-0 inch steel base plate using 1/4 inch fillet welds around the perimeter. Four 1/2 inch diameter ASTM F1554 Grade 36 threaded rods secure the base plate into hardened concrete with a 2-3/4 inch embedment depth using drilled holes and epoxy adhesive. The anchor rods are positioned at 1-1/2 inch typical edge distances from the plate corners.
