The construction joint features a slab reinforced with slab reinforcing terminated no more than two inches clear of the joint and a maximum 1/8-inch radius tooled edge, with joints to be filled saw cut. Three-foot-long number 3 slab dowels are placed at 32 inches on center across the joint, with a bond breaker applied to the joint prior to the second pour. The adjacent control joint detail shows a sawcut per notes 1 and 3 of detail C on the same sheet with an early entry saw recommended and a depth of cut per note 1, detail C, with reinforcing per plan.
