Post-tensioned concrete beams with a minimum depth of 24 inches accommodate penetration diameters restricted to a maximum of six inches, with three sleeves permitted per any six-foot beam length. Additional stirrups and number five bars spanning four feet each face are provided at the top and bottom of all sleeves. A minimum spacing of three times the larger diameter is required between sleeves, maintaining two inches of clear distance to reinforcement and four inches to post-tensioned tendons. Vertical penetrations through post-tensioned beams are strictly prohibited, and tendon location always takes precedence over sleeve placement.
