A wide-flange beam connects to a supporting wide-flange girder using a bolted single-plate shear tab welded to the girder web. The beam web fastens to the shear tab with a vertical row of bolts, maintaining a maximum three-inch clearance. Dimension callouts indicate a typical three-inch spacing from the support face to the first bolt line and a maximum three-inch offset at the bottom flange.
