A hollow structural section hanger supports lower trellis framing from an overhead beam and slab on metal deck. The hanger passes through a slotted connection reinforced with three-eighth-inch stiffener plates centered on each side and secured with typical five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. An HSS four-by-four by three-eighth-inch diagonal brace ties back to the overhead structural beam using gusset plates and welds sized per schedule. The lower trellis framing member consists of an HSS profile sized per plan.
