A structural metal deck opening detail showing reinforcing angles placed on each side of the opening. Two maximum adjacent webs are cut at two low flutes to accommodate a maximum thirteen-inch diameter hole. Reinforcing is required for holes greater than six inches up to a thirteen-inch maximum, located with impacts to two adjacent low flutes. The reinforcing angles require attachment to the deck and must extend a minimum of three webs at each end.
