A fan hanger rod extends downward from a steel joist and is secured with four-by-four-by-one-half-inch plate washers at top and bottom. Two L3x3x1/4 angles provide diagonal kicker bracing from the hanger connection up to the joist chords. The steel joists support a metal roof deck, with joist reinforcement added per details where required. The fan hanger is provided per the manufacturer specifications.
