The assembly features cold-formed metal framing hung from overhead structural steel beams and bare metal decking. Continuous ordinary track with a minimum 14 gauge and metal studs at 16 inches on center attach to the framing. Bearing plates measuring 14 gauge by 2 inches install at 24 inches on center parallel to the top flute, secured with three number 10 self-tapping metal screws at 8 inches to the bare metal deck. Two number 12 self-tapping metal screws at 16 inches on center connect the sill track to the bearing plate. Four number 12 self-tapping metal screws typically fasten the hanger framing. A continuous 2x2 angle of 16 gauge attaches with number 10 screws at each leg and each stud.
