A beam-to-column flange connection is provided for beams of the same depth framing into a central steel column. The connection utilizes a shear tab welded to the column flange and bolted to the beam web with a designated number and size of bolts, plus an optional second row of bolts as required by design notes. Continuity plates are provided at the top and bottom flange levels within the column web, sized to the larger of the connecting beam flange thicknesses TF1 or TF2. Fillet welds secure the continuity plates to the column flanges, with typical dimensions including a three-inch minimum vertical spacing.
