A structural steel beam-to-beam moment connection features top and bottom cover plates provided on each side of the flanged members, joined with typical welds and incorporating standard weld access holes at the web-flange intersections. A single plate shear tab connects the beam webs using three rows of bolts on each side. The assembly transfers both moment and shear forces between aligned framing members according to structural engineering standards.
