A timber floor assembly interfaces with a structural wood truss diagonal member at a welded chord splice. Finger-tight bolts are installed in slotted holes and are tightened after the truss is erected and shoring is removed. Compressible fill is placed between the truss diagonal and the timber floor penetration.
