A steel beam and truss joist or wide-flange member frame into a truss girder with plate connections. Three-quarter-inch by five-inch wide plates are welded to each side of the beam web, extending one foot with a quarter-inch fillet weld typical. The truss joist or wide-flange member matches sizing specified per plan.
