A metal deck bears on a wide flange steel beam at slopes greater than one-half to twelve. A continuous bent plate one-quarter inch thick is rotated to match the slope above the beam top flange. Another continuous bent plate one-quarter inch thick sits beneath the deck bearing condition. Three-sixteenths inch fillet welds are specified at twelve-inch spacing typically.
