A pre-engineered roof joist bears on a wide flange steel beam with a six-inch deep bearing seat and four-inch minimum bearing. The connection utilizes two half-inch diameter erection bolts by the joist manufacturer at three and a quarter inches on center at a standard beam gauge. Horizontal slotted holes are provided at the joist bearing seat per the joist manufacturer. Wind uplift bridging is supplied by the joist manufacturer. The high end of the joist is shown with the low end being similar.
