Heavy steel braced frame connection with diagonal members framing into a gusset plate and a vertical chord member. The assembly includes a main chord member with a gusset plate welded by five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds on each side. Two diagonal members frame into the gusset plate with bolted flange connections, utilizing flange plates measuring one and three-quarter by twenty-four inches on each side. A vertical member centered above features web and flange plates with eleven-sixteenth-inch fillet welds on three sides. Dimensions establish the spatial layout of the work point, member centerlines, and plate locations.
