A cast-in-place concrete leveler pit is framed by concrete tilt-up or pre-cast wall panels. Steel angles line the interior corners with a one-quarter-inch gap between angles and are left unwelded at the intersections. The leveler is stitch welded to the rear pit steel angle. The pit floor slopes downward by one-half inch.
