A one-half inch thick bent plate or angle frames the edge of the composite steel deck and concrete slab at the column flange. An L3x3x5/16 angle provides deck support below, welded with a quarter-inch fillet weld. Five-sixteenth inch fillet welds with five-inch spacing connect the structural members. The deck span runs perpendicular to the edge condition.
