A buckling-restrained brace connects to a steel beam through a gusset plate assembly. Web stiffeners and doubler plates are installed as required by the brace supplier to reinforce the beam web and flanges against high local forces. The connection includes a typical clearance dimension for the brace interface as specified by the supplier.
