A structural steel column bears on a Grade 50 baseplate measuring two and a half inches thick by five feet three inches by two feet. The assembly is secured by fourteen two-inch diameter ASTM F1554 Grade 105 anchor bolts equipped with three-quarter-inch by four-inch by four-inch washers and double nuts. Each anchor bolt requires a minimum thread projection of one-half inch above the top of each nut. The steel column and slab pocket are positioned per the elevation drawings, with a referenced slab control joint nearby.
