Stiffener plates are welded to beam webs at the k-area top and bottom. A weld schedule correlates beam flange widths up to 22 inches with specific plate thicknesses and fillet weld sizes. Stiffener thickness is based upon the width of the beam flange unless noted otherwise in the details.
