An 18/4 American Wire Gauge cable routes from the head end to the mortise lock body, interfacing with four designated color-coded conductors. The red wire connects to Lock V+, the black wire connects to Lock V-, the green wire connects to the request-to-exit normally closed circuit, and the white wire connects to the request-to-exit common circuit. These lines extend through a power transfer hinge assembly directly to the internal switch components of the electrified lock mechanism.
