An exterior concrete slab edge features continuous number four reinforcing bars with standard hooks terminating at the vertical joint face. The thickened edge extends a minimum of one foot down with an eight inch horizontal dimension below the haunch. Exterior slab reinforcing is provided per foundation plans while adjacent finish grade or paving transitions are coordinated with architectural drawings.
