A concrete housekeeping pad sits atop a structural slab with a pad height sized per mechanical, electrical, or architectural drawings and equipment supplier requirements. The interface between the pad and structural slab requires a four and a half inch minimum bond or a roughened surface if the pad is poured separately. Reinforcement within the topping slab follows the typical topping slab detail. Anchor bolts or fasteners are placed as required by the equipment supplier.
