An interior column is surrounded by a ten-foot diameter restricted zone that prohibits openings except within designated shaded regions. Within these restricted zones, penetrations are permitted only in one full quadrant or as two twenty-five degree wedges. Shear reinforcement consists of stud rails arranged radially around the column per plan.
