Three-ply cross-laminated timber panels splice together at the centerline of a glulam beam sized per plan. Structural screws measuring 5/16-inch diameter by 7-7/8 inches long secure the panels at a spacing of 3-1/2 inches center-to-center. For 5-ply panels, substitute 11-7/8 inch long structural screws. Stagger fasteners in accordance with structural drawings.
