An angle measuring 3x3x3/16 inches is anchored to each low flute on both sides of the metal deck opening using 1/2-inch diameter expansion bolts with a 3-1/2-inch embedment. The metal deck flutes extend a minimum distance on each side of the opening, with reinforcing cores spaced up to 18 inches maximum.
