An interior slab-on-grade non-structural curb surrounds a structural steel column with one-inch thick polyfoam placed around each column. Two number three by four-foot long diagonal reinforcing bars are centered on the corner of the column. The top half-inch of polyfoam is removed after twenty-eight-day concrete strength is achieved and filled with sealant per architectural drawings.
