A steel truss chord frames into a steel beam using a 3/8-inch by 13-inch by 9-inch steel plate and bolts, with a one-quarter-inch fillet weld at the top. The truss web connects to the chord with a seven-eighths-inch fillet weld. The supporting steel beam is sized per plan, and the steel column below is sized per plan and schedule.
